Middle & High School Events

A Place for Girls to Escape Day-to-Day Stresses While Engaging Their Bodies and Minds in Fun, Active Games, and Connecting Face-to-Face With Others (and Disconnecting from Technology).

Here’s a sneak peek at the programs we are working on for you:

Selfie Scavenger Hunt: You decide which will be more fun – trying to solve the witty, tricky questions as you team up and play this fast-paced race OR taking wacky, innovative, artistic selfies along the way. Rack up points for success in both! Challenge yourself, try new things, and problem solve all while laughing along the way.

Unfiltered Photo Shoot: Pics on social media typically portray us at our best. But does your online presence accurately represent your day-to-day life? At our Unfiltered Photo Shoot, our camera will capture all sides of you – as you share a wide range of emotions, from joy and surprise, to anger and sadness.  And of course you’ll get a chance to show off your fave features and express yourself any way you like. Then, you’ll be encouraged to join the convo about accepting (even embracing) the real you – imperfections and all.  You don’t need to change your appearance to suit others.  This program will enable you to see yourself in a new light as we redefine what’s seen as beautiful.

GAALS Create It – What Do You Meme? Kick off this fun and silly event by creating your own photos (which we will print on our photo printer) and write unique captions. Laughs are guaranteed as you uncover new things about yourself and others. You’ll feel empowered when it’s your turn to lead and choose which caption best suits the photo in play. Each play opens the door to new ideas and convos.

Makeover FOTD: You’re the Face Of The Day in this mini makeover marathon. You’ll have your very own expert show you how to apply makeup to emphasize your best features. Then hang and watch others look on-point!  We’ll explore not only what makes us look beautiful, but what makes us feel beautiful. Get the tools to look and feel your best — for yourself.  Hear funny mishaps about trying on makeup and trying too hard to be cool, and learn from their mistakes.

Show Me the Moola: Buying stuff with someone else’s money is nice. But you’re not always going to be able to depend on other people forever. Learn about various ways kids can make money (and we’re not talking just about babysitting). Once you get a taste of financial freedom, you’re sure to want more because there’s nothing quite like the satisfaction of buying something with your own hard-earned cash.  You’ll get some recommendations about spending vs. saving and donating through our unique approach using treats!  Oh, and don’t forget Uncle Sam. The best way to learn about taxes, is by eating 30% of your dessert!

Krav Maga: Does learning unarmed self-defense techniques from the Israeli military sound cool? While the physical tactics are an integral part of Krav Maga, the focus of this program is on the mental component. You’ll gain the strategies to stay in tune with the world around you so you can stay safe.   The tools you’re given will help you experience a heightened sense of awareness and sharper instincts, and will provide you with a better understanding of your surroundings. So what’s the goal? To help you identify a potential threat before you’re actually in danger. Your increase in awareness will also lead to an increase in confidence. Who doesn’t want that?

Name that Tune: Are you the go-to DJ when you and your friends are jammin’? Do you spend your free time creating playlists and queueing up the next hit? If so…you may think you’re an expert when it comes to music. But what about without the lyrics?  It’s definitely not as easy.  What do you do when you’re faced with a challenge? Do you tend to shy away or tackle it head on?  Do you try but give up fairly easily?

We’ll soon find out when we hit you with some not so obvious songs.  And songs that sound alike.  Whether we’re talking about a melody or about how a person is feeling, some things are not always as they seem. Sometimes, we have to look beyond the surface to really know and understand things. It’s not just the lyrics or the composition that make a smash hit.  Peeling back the layers to see what’s behind it all can be an eye-opening experience.  Just like with people. But sometimes we don’t have the time or inclination to do that. Or, a person won’t allow us to get there.

Come test your skills and see if you have what it takes to figure it out and succeed!
